PoshIQ uses a 6-step machine learning pipeline trained on more than 50,000 data points painstakingly gathered from Poshmark marketplace. We scraped real listings (both sold and available), cleaned and normalized the data, extracted meaningful features, and trained category-specific models to predict outcomes.
Our models analyze your listing's title, brand, category, size, condition, and price, then compare it against thousands of similar items to predict performance.
Our sell probability model correctly identifies about 68% of items that will sell. This is significantly better than random guessing (50%) and has been optimized through 20+ iterations of feature engineering and threshold tuning.
Why not higher? Poshmark sales depend on factors we can't measure — photo quality, description persuasiveness, timing, and buyer behavior. Despite these limitations, 68% accuracy is strong performance for a real-world prediction task.
